When I first started with Dylan, that was about less than a year ago, I was skinny and I wasn’t so sure about weightlifting. I had three personal trainers before him, while their help was invaluable, they never gave me the experience that Dylan gave me. I was about 153 pounds when I first started with him and could barely lift anything more than a plate (for deadlifts, I could barely do 185 pounds). I was stuck. A plateau. A rut. I lost a lot of my motivation for training and I was questioning my presence at the gym. I mean, why even bother if I can’t lift any more? But then Dylan came along and first thing he told me was that I should eat more. A more healthy and balanced meal, but still with more calories. While other trainers had said that to me before, but the way Dylan said it, the way his expression was, there was something there that was inspirational. So, I started eating healthier, more balanced and I quickly got results. The weights came flying off the ground, squats deeper and heavier, bench never easier. Whenever I got stuck at a certain weight,
Dylan would start telling me to do other exercises, accessories. These exercises helped me a lot during my training and in a week, I could clear that new plateau. I mean, I used to be in a plateau for a year before him! Add to that his encouragement, passion, and genuine concern for my health, I just continued coming back, again and again. Right now, I sit at 174 pounds at about 14 – 16% body fat. I can now do a PR of 320 pounds for deadlifts, over 240 pounds for squats, and I am improving my bench quite rapidly (135 pounds; and for reference, I could barely do 85 pounds for 4 reps a year ago!). I genuinely come to the gym to let off steam as it became a place of improvement for me. My body had never felt nor looked better before! Thanks Dylan!
